Bringing Warmth Back: Roof Restoration Ferntree Gully – Burgundy Roof Transformation

This Ferntree Gully home underwent a complete roof restoration to bring life back into an ageing cement tile roof that had become heavily faded and tired over time.

While the roof remained structurally sound overall, years of weather exposure had reduced its appearance and left sections requiring repair work before coating could begin. The homeowners wanted a result that would not only restore the roof but completely transform the feel of the home.

After discussing colour options, the family selected Burgundy by Regent Tileguard — a colour that worked exceptionally well with the surrounding leafy streetscape and added warmth, depth, and character to the property.

The finished result completely changed the presentation of the home, turning a washed-out roof into a standout feature with rich colour and renewed protection.

Scope of Works – Roof Restoration Ferntree Gully

This project involved both roof repairs and a full roof coating system to ensure the roof looked great and performed for years to come.

✔ High-Pressure Roof Cleaning
The roof was thoroughly pressure cleaned to remove built-up dirt, weathering, organic growth and loose surface material.

This preparation stage restored definition to the cement tiles and created the ideal surface for repair and coating.

✔ Roof Repairs & Valley Replacement

Before painting commenced, repair works were completed to improve roof performance and long-term weather protection.

Works included:

Replacement of an ageing roof valley
Installation of Valleyseal protection
Full repointing of ridge capping
Detailed roof preparation and inspection

This stage ensured the roof was watertight and prepared correctly before coatings were applied.

✔ Regent Tileguard 3-Coat Roof Coating System – Burgundy Finish

To achieve long-term durability and a rich colour finish, we applied a premium three-coat roof painting system:

1 × Coat – Regent Tileguard Sealer
2 × Coats – Regent Tileguard Roof Membrane in Burgundy

This premium coating system provides:

Excellent adhesion to cement tile roofs
Strong UV resistance
Long-term colour retention
Added weather protection
A rich Burgundy finish that suits established homes and leafy streetscapes

The Result – A Dramatic Roof Transformation in Ferntree Gully

The transformation on this Ferntree Gully property was dramatic.

The original faded cement roof had lost its presence and was making the home feel older than it really was. The new Burgundy finish introduced warmth and character while complementing the surrounding trees and natural landscape.

Combined with the completed repair work and premium coating system, the roof now looks refreshed, protected, and built for long-term performance.

One of the best parts of this project was working with a great family who were thrilled with the final result and later left us a fantastic review.

“I can’t recommend these guys highly enough! Great price, great result. Communication was first rate from initial enquiry, turned up when they said they would and explained exactly what they would be doing each step of the way whilst being extremely personable. Proper old school customer service. Thanks Caleb and Graeme, love your work.” – Mike ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Why Burgundy Worked for This Home

Burgundy proved to be an excellent choice for this property because it suited:

Established homes
Leafy streetscapes
Traditional cement tile roofs
Homes wanting warmth and character
Owners looking for something different from standard greys

The colour gave the roof more presence without overpowering the home.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Caleb from Enhanced Paint and Roof Restoration recently repaired some leaks and damage on our roof, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. What stood out most was his professionalism and communication — he explained exactly what needed to be done, kept us updated throughout the job, and was upfront and honest about the work involved. No pressure, no hidden surprises, just clear and reliable communication the whole way through.

The repair work itself was done to a high standard, and it’s clear Caleb takes real pride in his craft. We were impressed enough that we’re already planning to have him back next year to paint the roof. Would happily recommend him to anyone needing roof repairs done properly.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Definately one of the best home improvement decisions I've made was for Caleb at Enhanced Paint and roof Restoration to carry out repair, cleaning and finally a beautiful paint restoration on my tired terracotta tiles.
His approach was friendly, very professional, a reasonable quotation and finally a result that I couldn't be happier with.
My neighbour witnessing Calebs professional restoration is now considering him for her home.
I have no hesitation in recommending Caleb to others.
