Recent Project – Metal Roof Painting Shoreham

Premium Metal Roof Painting & Restoration in Shoreham, Mornington Peninsula

We recently completed this metal roof painting project in Shoreham on the Mornington Peninsula, transforming a faded and weathered metal roof with a complete three-coat Regent coating system.

The property sits within an expansive landscaped setting surrounded by mature greenery, making the roof a prominent part of the overall appearance of the home.

Rather than replacing the existing metal roof, the homeowners chose to restore and repaint it. After thorough preparation, the roof was finished with one coat of Regent Metalock Primer followed by two top coats of premium Regent Ultra in Monument.

The dark charcoal Monument finish created a striking contrast against the surrounding gardens and gave the entire property a cleaner, more contemporary appearance.

Project Overview

Location: Shoreham, Mornington Peninsula
Roof material: Metal roofing
Roof condition: Faded and weathered
Work completed: High-pressure cleaning, preparation, priming and metal roof painting
Primer: One coat of Regent Metalock Primer
Top coats: Two coats of premium Regent Ultra
Colour: Monument
Result: Existing metal roof completely refreshed without replacement

High-Pressure Metal Roof Cleaning

The restoration began with a thorough high-pressure roof clean to remove dirt, grime and environmental build-up from the existing metal roofing.

Proper preparation is particularly important before metal roof painting because the coating system needs to be applied to a clean and correctly prepared surface.

The roof was also inspected during preparation so any areas requiring attention could be addressed before the primer and top coats were applied.

Regent Metalock Primer for the Metal Roof

After cleaning and preparation, the roof received one coat of Regent Metalock Primer.

Metalock is Regent’s dedicated metal primer and formed the foundation coat for the roof painting system used on this Shoreham project.

Using the correct primer is an important part of repainting an existing metal roof because it prepares the surface for the finishing coats and helps form a complete coating system.

Three-Coat Regent Ultra Metal Roof Painting System

Once the roof had been cleaned, prepared and primed, we applied two finishing coats of premium Regent Ultra.

The complete system consisted of:

1 coat – Regent Metalock Primer
2 top coats – Regent Ultra
Colour – Monument

Regent Ultra is the premium Regent topcoat used on this Shoreham metal roof restoration.

The two Regent Ultra top coats provided the finished colour and protective coating, while the Monument colour gave the existing metal roof a completely different appearance.

Why Monument Was Chosen for This Shoreham Roof

The homeowners selected Monument, one of the darker charcoal roof colours commonly chosen for modern Australian homes.

On this Shoreham property, Monument worked particularly well because of the extensive greenery surrounding the house.

The darker roof colour created contrast against the gardens without overwhelming the natural setting, helping define the roofline while giving the home a more modern appearance.

Because the roof forms such a visible part of the property, changing the faded existing finish to Monument made a significant difference to the overall presentation of the home.

Homeowners considering the same colour can see more examples and information on our Monument roof colour page.

The Finished Shoreham Metal Roof Transformation

The before-and-after difference on this project was substantial.

What began as a tired and weathered metal roof was thoroughly cleaned, prepared, primed and finished with two coats of premium Regent Ultra in Monument.

The completed Shoreham metal roof painting project included:

High-pressure roof cleaning
Metal roof preparation
One coat of Regent Metalock Primer
Two coats of premium Regent Ultra
Monument roof colour
Complete refresh of the existing metal roof without replacement

Once finished, the roof looked dramatically newer and gave the whole property a noticeable lift.

The combination of the Monument roof, mature gardens and surrounding Mornington Peninsula landscape made this one of our standout metal roof transformations.

Metal Roof Painting in Shoreham

Metal roofs can become faded and weathered after years of exposure to UV, rain, wind and changing weather conditions.

Where the existing roof remains suitable, professional metal roof painting can restore its appearance without the cost and disruption of replacing the entire roof.

The process can include high-pressure cleaning, preparation, necessary roof repairs, application of the appropriate metal primer and two finishing coats.

This Shoreham project is a strong example of how an existing metal roof can be transformed using a properly prepared three-coat roof coating system.

Roof Restoration on the Mornington Peninsula

Enhanced Paint & Roof Restoration provides roof restoration across the Mornington Peninsula, including professional roof painting, roof cleaning and roof repairs for cement tile, terracotta and metal roofs.

For this Shoreham property, the restoration process included high-pressure roof cleaning, metal roof preparation, one coat of Regent Metalock Primer and two coats of premium Regent Ultra in Monument.

Established in 2006, we complete roof restoration and roof painting projects throughout the Mornington Peninsula, including Shoreham, Mornington, Mount Martha, Mount Eliza, Dromana, Safety Beach, McCrae, Rosebud and Rye.

Five-Star Review from Our Shoreham Clients

The homeowners were extremely pleased with the completed roof transformation and kindly left us a five-star Google review.

The new Monument finish made a substantial difference to the appearance of the property, particularly against the mature gardens and surrounding Mornington Peninsula landscape.

This Shoreham metal roof was high-pressure cleaned and prepared before one coat of Regent Metalock Primer was applied. The roof was then finished with two coats of premium Regent Ultra in Monument.

What roof paint was used on this Shoreham project?

We used Regent Ultra, Regent’s premium roof topcoat. Two coats of Regent Ultra were applied over one coat of Regent Metalock Primer.

How many coats were applied to the metal roof?

The roof was finished in Monument, a dark charcoal roof colour that worked particularly well against the surrounding gardens and natural landscape.

Is Monument a good colour for a metal roof?

Monument is a popular dark roof colour that can work particularly well on modern and contemporary homes. On this Shoreham project, the charcoal tone created strong contrast against the surrounding greenery and gave the home a much sharper appearance.

See our Monument roof colour page for more information and completed examples.

Why is a metal primer used before roof painting?

A dedicated metal primer prepares the existing roof surface for the finishing coats and forms part of the complete coating system. On this Shoreham project, Regent Metalock Primer was applied before the two Regent Ultra top coats.

Regent Ultra was the premium topcoat used on this Shoreham metal roof project, applied over Regent Metalock Primer.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Caleb from Enhanced Paint and Roof Restoration recently repaired some leaks and damage on our roof, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. What stood out most was his professionalism and communication — he explained exactly what needed to be done, kept us updated throughout the job, and was upfront and honest about the work involved. No pressure, no hidden surprises, just clear and reliable communication the whole way through.

The repair work itself was done to a high standard, and it’s clear Caleb takes real pride in his craft. We were impressed enough that we’re already planning to have him back next year to paint the roof. Would happily recommend him to anyone needing roof repairs done properly.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Definately one of the best home improvement decisions I've made was for Caleb at Enhanced Paint and roof Restoration to carry out repair, cleaning and finally a beautiful paint restoration on my tired terracotta tiles.
His approach was friendly, very professional, a reasonable quotation and finally a result that I couldn't be happier with.
My neighbour witnessing Calebs professional restoration is now considering him for her home.
I have no hesitation in recommending Caleb to others.
